Admit it! At some point, you’ve fantasized about the days of the Roman Empire and what they must have got up to, or at the very least thought about wearing a gladiator outfit with nothing on underneath.
Gay lifestyles were rampant in those days and a perfectly acceptable way of life. But of course, Christianity took over. 2,000 years later, it is still a city that has to tread lightly, since the Vatican is your next door neighbour!
But it does have a good gay scene and of course, a much more liberal Pope these days, so it is coming back out of its shell. Heck, there’s a gay bar right next to the Colosseum! Then again, that plays into that fantasy, eh?
Rome, Italy, Europe.
