Gay Rome 2018
Admit it! At some point, you’ve fantasized about the days of the Roman Empire and what they must have got up to, or at the very least thought about wearing a gladiator outfit with nothing on underneath.
Gay lifestyles were rampant in those days and a perfectly acceptable way of life. But of course, Christianity took over. 2,000 years later, it is still a city that has to tread lightly, since the Vatican is your next door neighbour!
But it does have a good gay scene and of course, a much more liberal Pope these days, so it is coming back out of its shell. Heck, there’s a gay bar right next to the Colosseum! Then again, that plays into that fantasy, eh?
Rome, Italy, Europe.
B&B Second Floor – Gay Guesthouse
Located right across from the Colosseum and in the center of Rome. How perfect is that? B&B Second Floor has air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. All rooms have either a balcony or a view of the Colosseum. Each includes a safe, flat-screen TV and a fridge.
Free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV and iPod docking station, Domus Valeria has a convenient location in central Rome. The Spanish Steps are 180 m away. Set in a historic building from the 18th century. Piazza di Spagna is the perfect place to sit and people-watch. Sit and observe people’s toing and froing on the ‘Spanish Steps’.
