Bristol’s gay scene is split between Frogmore Street, west of the city centre and West street to the east.
Bristol is best known for its architectural heritage and preservation of many of its beautiful old buildings. It has over 3,000 such buildings! In a variety of architectural styles, from medieval to modern, during the mid-19th century Bristol Byzantine, a style unique to the city, was developed, and several examples have survived. Brunel’s, Clifton Suspension Bridge is famous landmark, opened in 1864. The last flight of Concord landed in Bristol.
